Municipality of Yarmouth hires new CAO
The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth has announced that Victoria Brooks has accepted the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Brooks comes to the municipality with a background of considerable municipal experience, having held the position of deputy CAO with the Municipality of Digby, reads a media release. She holds a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration II: Municipal Governance. Most recently she has been working with the Western Region Enterprise Network ( WREN), which is the region’s economic development agency.
As lead for the WREN’s Busi- Victoria Brooks has accepted the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Municipality of Yarmouth. nessNow program Brooks delivered services and programs to businesses, both one-on-one and at a sector level.
“We are very pleased to welcome Victoria to the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth team,” says Warden Leland Anthony.
“Her experience and skills will be a great asset to the work that lies ahead. Under her leadership and guidance we look forward to the continued enhancement of the municipality.”
Brooks will begin her new role as CAO on May 22.
She replaces CAO Ken Moses, who is retiring after 37 years with the municipality.
“Returning to municipal government has been a long-term goal,” she says. “Excellence in serving the rate payers and residents of the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, along with council and staff, will be my priority.”
