BMHS athletes advancing to provincials
Athletes from Shelburne high school were among those competing at NSSAF track and field regionals at Acadia University last weekend.
The Top 4 finishers in the events advance to provincials being held in Sydney, Cape Breton this weekend.
Finishing in the Top 4 in their events were:
• Savannah Taylor: girls long jump (4th) and triple jump (1st) intermediate
• Jamie Fehr: boys high jump intermediate (2nd)
• Taylor Goodick: boys discus senior (2nd), boys javelin senior (1st)
The following is the list of athletes advancing to track and field provincials being held in Sydney, Cape Breton June 1 and
2.
The athletes advanced following NSSAF track and field regionals that were held at Acadia University May 25 and 26.
Advancing to provincials, in their respective events, are:
• Jacob Symonds: 200m, 400m, javelin senior boys
• Cameron Nickerson: discus senior boys
• Keira Grayley: senior girls
• Sailor Atwood: 100m, long jump intermediate boys
• Michael MacCarthy: hurdles intermediate boys
• Keiran O’Connor: high jump boys
• Grace Perry: High shot High jump jump intermediate girls
• Jr boys 4 X 100: Casey Probert, Dante Swim, Nick Nickerson, Nevin Sears
• David Sampson- Maxwell: Shot put senior special olympics
• Natalia Nickerson: long jump, 100m, shot put junior girls special Olympics
• Evelyn Smith: shot put junior girls special Olympics
