Gloria Lorraine Ringer died late Friday evening August 17, 2018 at home in Poultney VT with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born March 18, 1934 in Lockeport Nova Scotia, Canada the daughter of Stanley and Cassandra (McKay) Scott.

Gloria was a graduate of Lockeport High School class of 1952. She enlisted after graduation and served in the Royal Canadian Air force in Greenwood Nova Scotia, she later married William Lee Ringer Sr. on May 25 1957 in Lockeport, Nova Scotia.

She was a member of the Rose Point Beach Associatio­n in Wareham, MA. Gloria enjoyed bowling, beach combing, gardening, outdoors and spending time with her family. Survivors are her children, William Lee Ringer Jr. and his partner John James Preston of Poultney VT, Jeffrey Scott Ringer and his wife Brenda Elise of Marshfield, MA and Bruce Stanley Ringer and his wife Diane Marie of Halifax, MA. By her siblings, Thomas Scott of London Ontario, William Scott and his wife Jean of Yarmouth Nova Scotia, and Idella Stone of Ottawa Ontario, by her grandchild­ren, Katelyn and Jeffrey Ringer and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predecease­d by her parents and by her husband William Lee Ringer Sr and a son Robert Ringer. Services will be private and at the convenienc­e of the family. Burial will be in Nova Scotia, Canada. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Manley St. West Bridgewate­r, MA 02379. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
