MOR­TON, Al­lan Edgar was born in Lower Ar­gyle, Nova Sco­tia on Septem­ber 26, 1925 and died peace­fully in Kingston, On­tario on Septem­ber 3, 2018. Beloved hus­band of the late Freda (Welch). Lov­ing fa­ther of Janet May­nard (the late Vern), Barry and his wife Pa­tri­cia and Richard and his wife Su­san. De­voted “Grampie” to Katie (Kim) Hul­ton, Todd (Nikki) Mor­ton,

Erin (Scott) Ke­hoe, Jessie (Tyson) Boehme, Scott Welch (de­ceased), Curtis (Kather­ine) May­nard, Kristy (Casey) Nel­son, Va­lerie (Boyd) Stankey, Amy (Marc) Duguay and Stephen (Me­gan) Mor­ton. Much loved great-grampie to four­teen. Al­lan’s grand­chil­dren and great-grand­chil­dren were his great­est joy. Al­lan was pre­de­ceased by sib­lings Ray Mor­ton (He­len), Eve­lyn Macken­zie (Claire) and Hester Greene (Brad) and is sur­vived by Isobel Frost (the late Roy), Hazel (Tink) Crosby (the late Ge­orge), He­len (Beth) Good­win (the late Lawrence (Bud), Joyce Len­nox (the late Elmer) and Wil­bur (Sonny) Mor­ton (the late Florence). Al­lan served in the Cana­dian Army from 1943-1946 and the RCAF from 1949-1966. Fam­ily was of great im­por­tance to Al­lan and he was al­ways car­ing and sup­port­ive of his im­me­di­ate and ex­tended fam­ily in On­tario, New Brunswick and Nova Sco­tia. He was loved and re­spected by all. Cre­ma­tion has taken place and burial will be at a later date on Brier Is­land, Nova Sco­tia. www.james­rei­d­fu­ner­al­
