Author/speaker Eddie LeMoine to conduct Yarmouth sessions
Breakfast and lunchtime talks to take place Oct. 15 at Rodd Grand
The Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce has been getting ready for Small Business Week and, to help it mark the occasion, the chamber has a couple of events lined up for Monday, Oct. 15, featuring presentations by Eddie LeMoine, Canadian-born international author, speaker, seminar leader and corporate trainer.
First, at a breakfast session at 8 a.m., LeMoine will deliver a talk called Bring About What You Think About in which he will share principles from his book of the same name.
LeMoine says the top performers don’t necessarily work more hours or have more product knowledge or ability.
“LeMoine reveals their secrets of success and shows you how to use these life skills to change your life,” the chamber says in a media release.
A few hours after the breakfast session, the chamber will host a “lunch and learn” event where LeMoine will offer a presentation titled A Journey to Engagement, Working with and Engaging Five Generations in the Workplace.
In this noon-hour event, the chamber says, “LeMoine will offer a proven process for engaging the employees and customers while exploring employee attraction and retention, aging, demographics and a multi-generational workforce.”
LeMoine will share strategies for managing workplace challenges, the chamber says, “strategies that will lead to improved productivity, cost containment and service delivery.”
Both the morning and lunchtime sessions will be held at the Rodd Grand Yarmouth.
Tickets can be purchased online by going to the event calendar at www.yarmouthchamberofcommerce.com or by phoning the chamber office at 902-742-3074.
Meanwhile, the chamber also is planning a “business after hours” event at the Yarmouth McDonald’s for Wednesday, Oct. 17. The chamber has more details on its website.
Small Business Week is a national initiative held in October highlighting the importance of Canada’s small-business sector.
