GIRLS GAMES

boys’ hockey team held their season home opener on Nov. 2 when they hosted Avon View. It was a scoreless first period with Avon View taking a 3-1 lead in the second period and rounding out their scoring to 5-1 in the third period for the win. Scoring for the Vikings during the game was Jaden Watkins assisted by Zach Richardson. In net for Yarmouth goalie Tyson Peters made his Vikings and league debut, with a solid showing in net that included many spectacula­r saves.

The Clare Loups boys team hosted Central Kings on Nov. 3. The CK Gators won the game 5-0. It was a scoreless first period. Central Kings scored three goals in the second period and rounded out their scoring with two more goals in the third period. Although Clare took the loss, Maxime Hanna was on his game in the net for the home team stopping countless shots.

On Sunday the West Kings Wolverines traveled to Yarmouth to play Par-en-Bas in PEB’s home season opener. West Kings took a 1-0 lead in the first period and in the second PEB scored twice to go up 2-1 before West Kings tied the game 2-2. PEB scored twice more for a 4-2 lead after two periods. Par-en-Bas added another goal in the third period and held on for the win as West Kings pulled its goalie for an extra attacked in the final minute. Scoring for Par-enBas were Miguel d’Eon (3), Jadyn Samms and Zach D’Arcy.

A Nov. 2 game that was to be played between the Middleton Monarchs and Barrington Barons is to be reschedule­d, along with a Nov. 3 game that was to be played between Middleton and Par-en-Bas.
