Fall Classic annual tournament underway

The Shelburne County Minor Hockey Associatio­n Fall Classic is underway with one weekend of play wrapped up and the second one scheduled for Nov. 16 to 18 at both the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington Passage and the Shelburne County Arena in Shelburne.

In the first weekend of play (Nov. 9 to 11), 10 teams competed in Atom C and Peewee C divisions. In Atom C, the Shelburne Flames 2 won gold, with silver going to the West Hants Warriors. The Shelburne Flames 1 were the consolatio­n winners.

The Halifax Hawks were the banner winners in Peewee C. The West Hants Warriors finished second with the consolatio­n going to the Shelburne Flames.

Bantam B, Peewee A and Atom A teams will be facing off in the Fall Classic next weekend. When completed, the schedule will be posted online at the Shelburne County Minor Hockey Associatio­n website and Facebook page. The Shelburne Flames make a breakaway out of their zone in Shelburne County Minor Hockey Associatio­n Fall Classic Peewee C round robin action against the West Hants Warriors. It’s a battle for control of the puck in Shelburne County Minor Hockey Associatio­n Fall Classic Peewee C action between the Shelburne Flames and the West Hants Warriors. The shot is deflected during Fall Classic Atom C round robin action between the Shelburne Flames 1 and the Yarmouth Mariners. The Shelburne Flames 1 and the Yarmouth Mariners go after the puck in Atom C action at the Shelburne County Minor Hockey Associatio­n Fall Classic on Nov. 10.
