Bantam AA

The Wade’s Wire Traps Bantam AA Yarmouth Mariners lost two games in league play.

Hosting the Pictou County Weeks Crushers on Nov. 10, Yarmouth fell short 3-2 after a comeback attempt. Goals were by Alex Barr and Owen Penney with assists to Jory Stewart, Spencer Surette, Michel Comeau and Jacob Matthews.

The Mariners lost to Pictou 7-4 Nov. 11. Goals were scored by Jory Stewart, Spencer Surette, Ryder Travis and Owen Penney. Assists were from Connor Prouty, Jaden Kerr, Jory Stewart and Seamus d’Entremont.

This weekend the team will compete at the Maritime Fall Classic Tournament in Saint John, NB.

Peewee AAA

The Yarmouth Chris Scott Constructi­on Mariners picked up a pair of victories in NSMHL Peewee AAA action last weekend.

The Mariners took the first game 5-2 over the Cumberland County Ramblers. Jared Pitman and Russell Pinksen scored a pair of markers, while Jessica Mackinnon added a single marker. Sammy Cochrane had a pair of assists. Cohen Stoddard made 18 saves between the pipes.

It was a high octane scoring affair on Sunday as the Mariners dumped the Ramblers 11-7. Jordan Apostolofs­ki fired a hat-trick, Jessica Mackinnon and Jared Pitman each had two goals and Sam Hope, Russell Pinksen, Sawyer Longmire, and Dominic Jacquard single goals.

The wins move the Mariners to a 4-2-1 league record, and to 10-4-2 overall season mark. This weekend the Mariners will host the Pictou County Crushers Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m.

Bantam A

Nova’s Finest Fisheries travelled to Clare Nov. 9, losing 8-2. Scoring for the Mariners were Riley Hubbard and Tyler MacLeod with Chandler LeBlanc assisting in both goals.

On Nov. 10, Nova’s Finest Fisheries hosted the South Shore Lumberjack­s ending in a 2-2 tie. Scoring for the Mariners were Riley Hubbard and Chandler LeBlanc, with Isaac Richardson assisting on both goals. Tayvon Gabriel was in net.

On Nov. 11, the Mariners travelled to Kentville winning 4-3 against Acadia. Scoring were Dalton Sears (assisted by Drew Goreham, Shawn Deon), Chase Perry (assisted by Tyler MacLeod, Luke MacLeay), Drew Goreham (assisted by Isaac Richardson, Caleb Long) and Chandler LeBlanc unassisted. Braeden Hipson was in net.

Peewee A girls

Scotiabank Western Riptide White peewee A girls played two games Nov. 10 against Metro West Force red.

Riptide won the first game 4-2. Renee Olsen had three goals and Marissa Fevens had one. Assists went to Alyssa Boudreau-Poole, Katie Atkinson and Kalli Goreham. Chloe Surette was in net. The second game was a 4-3 win with 2 goals by Mercedes Melanson and one each by Renee Olsen and Issabelle d’Entremont. Assists went to Katie Atkinson, Renee Olsen, Kiersten Kenney and Issabelle d’Entremont. Marissa Fevens was in net.

Bantam A girls

Yarmouth Scotiabank Western Riptide White bantam A girls team hosted Pictou for two games. The Riptide lost Game One 3-2. Chloe Swaine scored unassisted. The second goal was scored by Carly Kini, assisted by Ocean Sears and Emily Crosby. Riptide won the second game 2-0. Madison Cushing and Carly Kini each had one goal and one assist. Jada MacKinnon and Courtney Fitzgerald each had an assist. Sophie Thimot played in net for both games.

Bantam B

The Sea-Ya Fisheries Bantam B Mariners came home Nov. 3 with a 7-4 win against the Liverpool Cougars. Scoring were Adien Goodwin (assists Landon Watkins and Jacob Wyman), Daniel Kenney (assists Colby Saulnier and Toby d’Entremont), Jesse Amiro (assist Isaac Tunnicliff), Landon Watkins (assists Daniel Kenney and Blake Lyons). Jesse Amiro had a hat-trick with assists from Landon Watkins, Jaleel Horton and Isaac Tunnicliff. The 7th goal was from Landon Watkins, assisted by Jacob Wyman.

Peewee A

The GPK Refrigerat­ion Peewee A Mariners were on the road against the West Hants Warriors.

Saturday’s game saw the Mariners win 8-0 helped by Ashton Samms’ hat-trick and two goals from Alyre Richardson. Additional scorers were Boston Aldred, Blake Newell and Connor Pothier. Brady Saulnier posted the shutout.

The Mariners won their second game 8-1 on Sunday. Drew Muise scored two goals with additional goals by Conner Pothier, Sean-Phillippe Fernandez, Lucas Cottreau, Blake Newell, Boston Aldred, Damien Cottreau and Alyre Richardson.

Atom AA

The Yarmouth Sweeny’s Funeral Home Atom AA Mariners played three games.

In Game 1 on Nov. 10 the Mariners lost to Antigonish 8-4. Parker LeBlanc scored 2 goals, Lexx D’entremont and Brady Newell each added a goal. Max Gates, Cullen Fitzgerald, Sawyer Kristensen and Nixon Ross each had an assist. Noah Muise was in net.

In Game 2 on Saturday the Mariners defeated Antigonish 5-2. Sawyer Kristensen, Parker LeBlanc, Declan Fitzgerald, Brady Newell, Lexx D’entremont all found the back of the net. Nixon Ross picked up 2 assists. Karter Bain, Declan Fitzgerald, Sawyer Kristensen, Parker Leblanc, Cullen Fitzgerald and Cayden d’Eon all added assists. In net was Noah Muise who also picked up an assist.

In Game 3 on Nov. 11 the Mariners were again victorious against Antigonish winning 6-4. Marcel Jacquard and Colby d’Eon each scored 2 goals, while Paker LeBlanc and Karter Bain each added a goal. Cayden d’Eon had 2 assists while Max Gates, Declan Fitzgerald, Colby d’Eon and Lexx D’entremont added 1 assist each. Noah Muise was in net.
