High school hockey results

MONCTON CLASSIC

The Clare Loups were at the Moncton Classic Tournament and came in 3rd in the round robin.

On Friday they defeated Sussex 6-3. Scoring were Nicholas LeBlanc, Nathan Tufts, Simon Muise with 2 goals, Nema

Hanna and Aaron Comeau.

On Friday they lost to Manitoba 2-1. Scoring was Leon Bouchard.

On Saturday they had an 8-2 win vs Fredericton. Scoring were Sebastien LeBlanc, Zach LeBlanc, Jacob Chartier, Mario Boudreau, Leon Bouchard, Simon Muise, Miguel LeBlanc and Aaron Comeau.

The Loups lost to Central Kings 3-2 in the semi-final. Scoring were Branden Brooks and Simon Muise.

The Clare Loups play home this coming weekend at Université Sainte Anne Friday night vs Horton at 8 p.m. and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. vs Digby.

• Barrington 6 – Middleton 3

Scoring for Barrington were: Dereck McCarthy (Nolan Atwood), Ethan Brannen (unassisted), Justin Smith (Jagger Kane, Ryan O’Callaghan), Derek McCarthy (Jory Stewart, Nolan Atwood), Tylan Foster (Owen Penney), Derek McCarthy (Nolan Atwood, Devon Nickerson). In net was Devon Nickerson.

• West Kings 5 – Par-en-Bas 3 Scoring for PEB were: Spencer Surette (short-handed), Hayden Young with two goals.

• Par-en-Bas 4 – Middleton 2 Scoring for PEB: Hayden Young (unassisted), Jay Deviller (Spencer Surette, Shawn d'Eon), Zach D'Arcy (Josh Greene, Hayden Young), Ryan Warner (Andre d'Entremont, Hayden Young). Logan Babin was in net.

• Barrington 6 – West Kings 1 Scoring for Barrington: Nolan Atwood (Derrick MaCarthy), MaCarthy (Atwood), Justin Smith (unassisted), Atwood (MaCarthy, Kieran O’Connor), Ethan Brannen (Jagger Kane), Jory Stewart (Kane).

• Park View 7 – Yarmouth 1 Scoring for Yarmouth: Tanner Nickerson (Elijah Surette, Max Nickerson). Yarmouth hosts Central Kings Sunday at 4 p.m.

• Avon View 13 - Digby 1 Scoring for Digby: Lathan Robinson.
