Minor hockey weekend results

ATOM A

The Yarmouth Pink Star Barro Atom A Mariners played two home games this past weekend on Saturday, Jan. 11 versus Acadia.

The first game was a 5-1 win for the Mariners. Scoring were Parker LeBlanc (3), Brody Symonds and Carl Landry with assists from Philip Richard, Myes Ellis, and Jesse Churchill. Jarriyn Maxwell and Austin Stoddard were in net.

The second game was a 3-3 tie between the two teams. Scoring were Dylan Scott, Brody Symonds and Parker LeBlanc with assists by Nate d'Entremont, Parker

LeBlanc, Cullen Fitzgerald and Philip Richard. Austin Stoddard and Jarriyn Maxwell were in net.

BANTAM A

The GPK Refrigeration Bantam A Mariners were on the road this past weekend for a game against the Western Valley Spartans at the Kings Mutual Century Centre, where the teams played to a 3-3 tie.

Scoring for the Mariners were Cohen Nickerson (assisted by Landon Watkins-Bonnar), Daniel Kenney (assisted by Landon Watkins-Bonnar) and Keaton Muise (assisted by Daniel Kenney).

Braeden Hipson was in net, stopping 29 shots.

ATOM B

Sweeny's Funeral Home Atom B Mariners played a double header against Queen's Cougars on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Yarmouth Mariner's Centre. Yarmouth won their first game 6-0 and lost their second game 3-2.

BANTAM B

The Yarmouth Nissan Bantam B Mariners were on the road this past Friday night in Liverpool, where the Queens County Cougars downed the Mariners 5-3.

Scoring for the Mariners were Maddox d’Entremont assisted by Cohen Warner and Caleum Hines; Caleb d’Entremont unassisted; and Cohen Warner assisted by Aiden d’Entremont. In net was Kaylob Doucet-D’eon.

PEEWEE A

The Charlesville Fisheries Peewee A Mariners played at home on Saturday, Jan. 11 against the Shelburne Flames and defeated the Flames 7-1.

In net for the Mariners was Adam Bowie and Zander White. Scoring for the Mariners were Damien Cottreau with 4 goals, Sawyer Kristensen, Maxime d’Entremont and Lexx D’Entremont. The assists for the game went to Brody Goodwin, Maxime d’Entremont, and Sawyer Kristensen all with 2 each. Andre Hill, Angelo Maskine, Zander Garron, Carter Amiro, Dana Hill, Declan Fitzgerald and Damien Cottreau each had one assist.

The Mariners have a busy week this week. They played Clare on Tuesday and play them again Friday in Clare. They hit the road Saturday for Windsor and are back on home ice on Sunday to face Acadia.
