Adults can do their own Scrapbooki­ng project with a group of people who want to share ideas and projects.

Knitting Group

Wednesdays, 1 to 2 p.m. If you are a beginner or a seasoned knitter or crocheter, join the library knitting group for ideas and support.

Masterpiec­es on Rocks

Thursday, Feb. 6,

6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Everyone can try their hand at painting rocks as a gift or a keepsake. Storm date is Thursday, Feb. 13.

Puzzle Exchange

During open hours

Winter is the perfect time of year to do puzzles. Bring a puzzle and exchange it for another one. Make the most of this lovely winter pastime.

Book Reading and Discussion

Thursdays, 1 to 3 p.m.

There will be a reading and discussion of Anastasia from The Ringing Cedars series. The readings and discussion will explore the world of Anastasia, the first book of The Ringing Cedars series. It tells the story of entreprene­ur Vladimir Megre’s trade trip to the Siberian taiga in 1995, where he witnessed incredible spiritual phenomena connected with sacred ‘ringing cedar’ trees.

Valentine Craft

Feb. 1 to 14 during open hours Children aged 5 to 10 can drop in and make a Valentine craft to give or keep on Valentine’s Day.

LEGO Club

Saturdays, 11 a.m.

Use library LEGO to challenge your building skills with the weekly theme or create from your own imaginatio­n. LEGO is a fun activity for everyone - bring a friend and see where your imaginatio­n takes you. Participan­ts are asked to register by the day before each club meeting.

Colouring Story Time for Adults

Thursdays, Feb. 6, 6 p.m. Relax during a night of colouring with friends! As we colour we’ll enjoy listening to an audiobook. Reading, colouring, friends ... unwind and just breathe for a little while.

Happy Bookers Book Club

Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1:30 p.m. On the second Tuesday of the month enjoy lively book discussion­s with friends! Today the group will discuss Everyone’s Son by Thrity Umrigar. The club will share a new book every month. Coffee and tea are served. New members are always welcome.

Bad Art Night

Thursday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m. We provide you with the art materials - you get creative. Make any kind of art you want - as long as it’s really bad! We’ll set up an art exhibition and everyone will vote. The “baddest” art wins. Join us for some light-hearted and creative fun to brighten up your winter. This program is for adults. Register by Wednesday, Feb. 12 by contacting the library.

Play Group

Fridays, 10 to 11:30 a.m. This is a great opportunit­y for children aged 6 and under to play, meet new friends, and enjoy a snack. This program is in partnershi­p with King Street Family Resource Centre.

Adult Colouring

Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Join us and gather to colour and catch up with old and new friends.

Heart Necklaces

Saturday, Feb. 8, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Children aged 5 to 12 can enjoy this Valentine’s Day inspired craft. Participan­ts will make a heart necklace using beads, string and cut-out heart created from foam paper.

DIY Valentine Crafts

Tuesday, Feb. 11 to Friday, Feb. 14 during open hours

All ages can make their own Valentine’s Day cards and gifts for your friends and family. A new craft idea will be introduced each day. Sparkle and shine this Valentine’s Day.

Wednesday After School Game Day

Wednesdays, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. School-age children can drop in the library to play an assortment of board games. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be served.

Creative & Cursive Writing

Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 p.m. Calling all youth aged 8 and up who enjoy putting pen to paper. Practice cursive handwritin­g and exercise your creative writing skills. All supplies needed will be provided.

Brown Baggers Books and Banter Group

Tuesday, Feb. 11, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Participat­e in the Brown Baggers Books and Banter Group and enjoy discussing books throughout the year while socializin­g at the library. The book up for discussion this month is Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli. The club meets the second Tuesday of each month, and new members are welcome.
