“hits Triathlon Series continues to change the landscape of highend triathlons by giving athletes access to well-run, multi- distance events in destination locations all year round,” says co-founder Tom Struzzieri. Ref lecting their motto, “A distance for everyone,” Struzzieri and fellow co-founder Mark Wilson decided each weekend should offer five opportunities to enjoy a race.

“Our formula of offering all five distances over the course of one weekend may strike some as a challenge, but we see it as a great opportunity to bring the community of athletes together for an extraordinary event and we have found it to be a winning approach,” Struzzieri insists. The half and full distance events kick off each weekend on Saturday and the super sprint (created for the newbie), sprint and Olympic distance races are held on Sunday.

Struzzieri and Wilson maintain their forward thinking as they plan the future of their series while striving to improve the athlete’s hits experience. Most recently, they introduced a pricing structure that offers several opportunities to save on registration costs. This unique format offers a full distance triathlon for as little as us$ 150 with an early registration.

“The sport of triathlon appears to be at a crossroads,” said Struzzieri. “We’ve listened to the feedback from our own athletes and watched carefully what’s happening elsewhere, and while some believe that there’s enough demand to increase rates, our approach is going to continue to be delivering value.
