Paratriathlon National Team
Stefan Daniel
Last year’s silver medallist at the Paralympics, Stefan Daniel is the bright light of the national program these days, with a legitimate shot at gold in 2020. Daniel is no stranger to high-performance racing – we named him the TMC Triathlete of the Year for 2015 thanks to his amazing season that included a paratriathlon world championship and the national junior title (over the best able-bodied juniors in the country).
The 20-year-old from Calgary was born with bilateral radial club hands – his right arm is more affected than the left. He turned to triathlon after winning national titles in cross country running and success in para-swimming.
