La Résidence earns perfect score
Staff and management for La Résidence got an A-plus rating for their work from Accreditation Canada.
The Hawkesbury-based senior retirement facility, which the United Counties of Prescott-Russell operates, earned a “perfect score” during a three-day inspection visit in June from representatives for Accreditation Canada.
Louise Lalonde, director for La Résidence presented her senior management team to counties council during its Sept. 28 regular session when she made her report on the accreditation inspection results.
“The report highlights that in recent years, the management team, supported by administration, carried out major developments in quality management within the institution,” Lalonde stated. “Furthermore, it was noted that management showed great concern for the safety of residents, that a safety plan is in place, and that the Residence has made important strides towards the prevention and control of infections.”
“Congratulations,” said Warden Guy Desjardins, “and that goes for everyone.”
The Accreditation Canada evaluation report noted “high levels of satisfaction” from both residents and their families regarding the facility and its services overall.
The report stated that La Résidence had 100 per cent compliance with all 78 criteria related to six areas of quality identified for evaluation.
