Cougars suffer two losses over weekend

Saturday night’s home game finished 6-4 for the visiting Clarence Creek club.

The Cougars scored in each period while the Castors went without a point in second period but made up for that with a four-point push in third.

Vankleek Hill goals came from Allen Ryan, Nikolas Ayotte, Tyler Dopelhamer, and Brenden Rowe.

Assisting on the scoring were Dopelhamer, Anaick Besner, Ronnie Boots, Tyler Druce, Trystan Lavoie, and Riley Sauvé.

Sébastien Moreau handled almost all of the goalkeepin­g during the game with Dominik Turcotte filling in the remainder.

Scoring for Clarence Creek were Matthew Clement and Patrick Lemay with two goals each and solo points from Thomas Lowry, and Patrick Sonoski. Les Cougars de Vankleek Hill ont perdu leurs matchs de la fin de semaine face aux Castors de Clarence Creek 6-4 et aux Aigles de Saint-Isidore 5-3.

Sunday in St-Isidore finished 5-3 for the host club with Nikolas Ayotte, Tyler Druce and Charles Olivier-Portelance scoring singles for Vankleek Hill.

Goal assists came from Ryan Allen, Trystan Lavoie and Riley Sauvé. Sébastien Moreau handled goalkeepin­g.

Maxime Choquette fired in two goals for St-Isidore with solo points coming from Jacob Bélanger, Jérémie Bourgon, and Benoît Lâbre.

Assisting on goals were Choquette, Zackary Bougie, Kalvin Cormier, Miguel Crispin, Patrick Ranger, Nicholas Souligny, and Ryan Wells. Philippe Roy guarded the Aigles’ net.

The Cougars host the Bytown Royals Saturday night at the Vankleek Hill Arena.
