Hundreds of available jobs at the seventh CSEPR Job Fair

The Prescott-Russell Employment Services Centre (CSEPR) is calling on all job seekers:

This is the theme of the seventh edition of the Prescott-Russell Job Fair. It will take place March 17 at l’École secondaire catholique de Hawkesbury, and March 24 at River Rock Inn in Rockland, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Last year, a record of a thousand positions were offered during the fair said André Roy, CSEPR executive director, during a news conference on January 9 at the CSEPR office in Hawkesbury. Again this year, the hope is to offer several hundred positions.

“As in the past, there will be a minimum of 25 employers in each location,” said Roy. “Although the minimum number is already reached, there are still some spaces available for employers who would like to participat­e in the event.»

Jobs will be offered in a variety of sectors, including industries, social services, accounting, catering and government services. Opportunit­ies for students will also be available.

According to Murielle Huneault Pilon, the Centre’s job developer, salaries could range between $ 14 and $ 25 an hour. “The salaries are good and companies pay well for their candidates,” she said.

Personaliz­ed service

“To enable entreprene­urs to recruit quality skilled workers, a proactive and much more personaliz­ed service approach was adopted,” said Huneault Pilon. “This is new this year.” Through this approach, CSEPR organizes business visits for job seekers. The goal is to introduce them to companies, their needs and their leaders, to know if they meet the expectatio­ns. Some of these initial visits can result in a candidate being hired on the spot, as was reported at the press conference.

Preparator­y workshops
