Police return wandering emu

KILWORTH, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police say a wandering emu has been returned to its owner. The emu was reported to police Tuesday morning by concerned citizens who saw the large flightless bird on or near roads in the Kilworth, Ont., area, west of London, Ont. OPP say officers were able to contain the animal. Police put out an appeal for the owner or any person or agency qualified to care it, and say the owner contacted them early Tuesday afternoon.
