Pateryn sidelined with ankle fracture

Montreal Canadiens defenceman Greg Pateryn is expected to be out of action eight weeks with a fractured ankle, the NHL club announced Thursday. Pateryn was hit in the ankle by a shot during a 3-2 overtime loss Tuesday night in St. Louis. The 26-year-old had one goal and four assists in 19 games this season. He has two goals and 10 assists in 77 NHL games with Montreal.
