Laval tight end Auclair rises in draft rankings

TORONTO – Laval Rouge et Or tight end Antony Auclair rose eight spots to No. 2 in the latest Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau rankings of the top 20 eligible prospects for the 2017 draft. Auclair, from Notre-Dame-des-Pins, Que., had six catches and a touchdown in Laval’s Vanier Cup victory over the Calgary Dinos last month. Mississipp­i State offensive lineman Justin Senior remained in the No. 1 position while UCLA defensive lineman Eli Ankou rose two spots to No. 3. Dinos receiver Rashaun Simonise of Vancouver rose three spots to No. 4 and Manitoba Bisons offensive lineman Geoff Gray jumped six spots to No. 5.
