Jail time for man who assaulted woman

TRURO – A Hilden man who assaulted a woman and took a vehicle without consent was sentenced to 99 days in jail. Christopher George Ross, 44, of Edwards Road, who was already in custody, was granted credit for 39 days served during remand. His custodial sentence is to be followed by 18 months’ probation. Ross was ordered to successfully take counselling for alcohol consumption as well as any other counselling directed by his probation officer. He is also banned from possessing firearms or other weapons for five years.
