Truro man gets probation for theft
TRURO, N.S. — A Truro man who pled guilty to stealing from a local retailer was sentenced recently to four days in custody.
Jonathan James Linders, 39, of Young Street, was also placed on 12 months’ probation. His four custody days were deemed to have been served. Linders’s probation conditions include not possessing, consuming or using alcohol or illicit drugs and successfully taking counselling for alcohol/ drug use, mental health issues, life skills and educational advancement.
Linders is also banned from entering the Staples store on Robie Street and is further not permitted to possess firearms or weapons.
