House arrest ordered in assault case

TRURO, N.S. A Debert man who pled guilty to assaulting a woman was given a 90-day conditional sentence and placed on probation for 18 months.

Nathan Kenneth Dahlgreen, 36, of Staples Brook Road, must serve his three-month sentence under house arrest.

During that time he is banned from consuming or using alcohol or illicit drugs and is to stay away from establishments were alcohol is served.

He must also undergo assessment/counselling for mental health issues, domestic violence and have no contact with his complainant. Dahlgreen is also banned from possessing firearms or weapons.
