Mall brings back special occasions

TRURO, N.S. — The Christmas season is often busy for Truro Mall, as they prepare for a variety of different sales and events being held over the next couple of months. “This season we will be holding a few Christmas promotions, including our 12 days of Christmas giveaway,” said Jaclyn Johnston, marketing manager for the Truro Mall.

“We’re also going to have some sales events coming up for Black Friday as well, which starts on Friday, Nov. 24. There will be a petting zoo set up for the kids that Saturday, Nov. 25, so they have something to do while their parents shop.”

They will also be holding their Silent Santa shopping hours again this year.

“Last year we started our new Silent Santa program, which caters to children with autism, sensory issues or just those who are shy and nervous in loud, busy environments,” said Johnston. “During those hours, we turn the music off in the shopping centre and make sure Santa is silent so it makes it easier for those kids to meet with him.”

The Silent Santa hours will run on two Sundays, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3 from 4 to 5 p.m.
