Midget AA Bearcats settle for pair of ties

TRURO, N.S. — The Truro Bearcats earned a pair of ties against Antigonish in recent midget AA exhibition hockey action.

In a 4-4 draw, Liam Atwater, Noah Davis, Hayden Kolke and Tyson Ingraham scored goals for the Bearcats, while assists went to Ingraham, with two, Sam Roy, Blake Terry and Noah Davis and Brandon Macleod. In a 3-3 stalemate, Terry, Atwater and Kolke netted goals, while Riley Masters had three assists and Jake Hiscock added a single helper.

The Bearcats return to playoff action on Tuesday at the Colchester Legion Stadium, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

A win would send the Bearcats to the league championship game and provincials April 6 to 8 in Antigonish.

Should the Bearcats lose, they would be required to play a game on March 25 for the third provincial spot.
