Here are some of the activities taking place in and around Truro to mark Pride Week in 2018, beginning this Friday, July 13. FRIDAY Noon: Pride flag raising at Dal AC 1 p.m.: Pride flag raising at Truro Town Hall- 1 p.m. 1 to 5 p.m.: Pride swag making at the Truro Library- 1-5 p.m. SATURDAY 10 a.m.: Crafts for kids: Rainbow streamers-Enchanted Forest 11 a.m.: Storytime at the Truro Library, with Keltie Jones 2 p.m.: Pride Parade Route: Lorne-queen-Commercial-prince-civic Square 3 to 5 p.m.: Post-parade activities at the Civic Square 8 p.m.: Truro Pride Dragstrava­ganza – Marigold Cultural Centre MONDAY 8 to 10 p.m.: Youth Games Night at Levels Game Loft - $26 at the door TUESDAY 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Trans Sport seminar at the Truro Library WEDNESDAY 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Trans nutrition talk at the Truro Library 8 p.m.: Screening of The Bird Cage at Noveltea Bookstore Café THURSDAY 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Pride Activities at Dal AC 6-7:30 p.m.: Shae Morse, an openly transgende­r teacher, will share their journey from growing up in Truro, through becoming an LGBTQI+ activist, to teaching in an urban junior high. – Truro Library 8-11 p.m.: Youth Dance at the Truro Farmers’ Market
