Homewood Health, Pizza Market tie in ball hockey

SALMON RIVER, N.S. – Homewood Health and Pizza Market settled on a 3-3 tie in recent action in the Truro and Area Women’s Ball Hockey League.

Scoring for Pizza Market were Ashley Weatherbee, Paige Mcnutt and Chelsey Campbell, while Lori Johnson, Tracy Weatherbee, Carleigh Hiltz, Campbell and Mcnutt had assists.

Kara Macdonald netted two goals for Homewood Health, while Amy Murdock added a single marker. Margie Hartling picked up an assist. Goaltenders were Joanne Jones, Pizza Market and Miriam Gordon, Homewood Health.

In other action, the Northumberland Silos shaded Medicine Shoppe 2-1. Jody Hutchinson and Sue Boutilier scored for Northumberland, while Jen Douglas chipped in with an assist. For Medicine Shoppe, the goal scorer was Marilyn Bruce.

In another game, Pizza Market and the Northumberland Silos tied 3-3. Campbell, Mcnutt and Weatherbee

scored goals for Pizza Market, while Hiltz and Erin Crowell picked up assists. Molly Wood, Stacey Fraser and Kristin Langille each had a goal and a helper for the Silos.

Jones played between the pipes for Pizza Market and Amanda Roode was in nets for the Silos.
