To honour them

As aging soldiers pass on, a new generation remembers and honours their sacrifices

With Remembranc­e Day this Sunday, local reservists give their impression­s of why it is important to never forget the sacri ces that were made.

One hundred years after the guns fell silent, six Canadian Army reservists describe what the First World War and Remembranc­e Day means to them.

Soldiers interviewe­d are currently serving with the First Battalion of The Nova Scotia Highlander­s (North), based at the Truro Armoury.
