Probation, fine for drinking and driving
TRURO, N.S. — A Debert man was issued an elevated fine and placed on probation for 12 months after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.
David Wayne Stiles, 42, of Plains Road was fined $1,950 and is banned from driving for one year. His increased penalty was because of past drinking and driving convictions. As part of his probation conditions Stiles is prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol and from entering establishments where alcohol is sold.
He must also successfully take counselling for alcohol consumption.
