Shaun Bily

Hometown: Doylestown, Pa. Number: 24 Age: 20

Position: Forward

H-W: 5-ft. 10-in., 175 lbs. Bearcat of the Week honours go to forward, Shawn Bily. His sixth goal of the year proved to be the overtime winner in Saturday’s 2-1 win over the Pictou County Weeks Crushers.

In his 10 Bearcats games, he’s potted six goals and assisted on six others. Coming into this week, those numbers have him tied with Kyle Sexton for the scoring lead among the Bearcats. He, Gavin Hart and G Blackmore have been solid when all are healthy.

Bily received early instruction through the Honey Baked Hockey club in Farmington Hills, Mich., a program designed to developing players and enable them to compete at advanced levels. One season with the Honey Baked Major Bantams led him to the 2013-14 season where he suited up with the Honey Baked U16 and the New Jersey Jr. Titans U16 squads. A 2014 draft pick of the Erie Otters, he suited up with the OHL team for two full seasons before splitting the 2016-17 season between the Otters and Quebec Ramparts. Last year he played in the OJHL with the Trenton Golden Hawks. To date, he’s displayed a high skillset, and is obviously a good t with the young Bearcats.
