ARCHIBALD, Karen Louise (Hunter) – Dec. 30, 1941-July 18, 2016.

The passing occurred of Karen Louise Archibald on July 18, 2016 at home.

Karen took great pride in her marriage to Ross John Archibald, her children and grandchild­ren. She greatly enjoyed her visits with all her friends on her daily travels around her much loved town of Truro. With her passion of music, she kept busy following her favorite musicians around the County of Colchester.

Her quiet presence will be missed by family and friends. Karen is survived by her children, Suzanne (Gregory) Perry, Debbie (Richard) Roode, Michael (Christine) Archibald and Tony (Amy) Archibald; nine grandchild­ren; one great-granddaugh­ter; her much-loved cousin, Judith Castell; brother-in-law, Dr. Alan Murdock and his children, Jennifer (Jordan) White, Heather Murdock, Andrew (Robyn) Murdock; brother-in-law, Elmer Archibald; uncle Jack Hunter; aunt Alice Alford; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen was predecease­d by husband, Ross Archibald; her parents, George and Verna Hunter, mother and father-in-law, Roswell and Alfreda Archibald; her much-loved sister, Christine Murdock and granddaugh­ter, Abigail Archibald.

Cremation has taken place. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, July 29 from 1 p.m. until time of her service at 2 p.m., all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Mary White officiatin­g. Interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. David’s United Church, Bible Hill or a charity of choice. Live webcasting of the service will begin at 1:58 p.m. (Atlantic time) and is available with condolence­s at www.Colchester­Community.com.
