Lester “Ross” Davidson

DAVIDSON, Lester “Ross” – age 89, Lower Onslow, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sept. 28, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Lower Onslow, he was the son of the late Archie and Gertrude (Fletcher) Davidson.

Ross spent his life dedicated to his family farm in Lower Onslow and in his spare time loved to attend dances and jamborees. He had a dry sense of humour and a special smile for everyone.

He is survived by children, Heather Barnhill, Crowes Mills, Gerald (Clare) Davidson, June (Lorne) Pelham, both of Lower Onslow; grandchild­ren, James (Peggie) Barnhill, Marie (Robert) Naugler, Nancy Slack, Glenn (Natasha) Davidson, Tricia (Joe) Reimer, Sarah (Allen) Weir; 10 great-grandchild­ren; one great-great grandchild; siblings, George, Effie and Joe. Besides his parents, he was predecease­d by his first wife, Cora, and second wife, Mae, and companion, Vera.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to all his loving caregivers. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request.

A celebratio­n of his life will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Glenn MacLean officiatin­g. Reception to follow. Interment in Lower Onslow Clarke Cemetery.
