TERRY, Reginald Bayne – 82, of Vimy Court nursing home in Bible Hill and formerly of The Falls, Colchester County, passed away Jan. 18, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro.

Born May 4, 1934 in North River, he was a son of the late John Leslie “Les” and Mildred Gertrude “Gertie” (Corbett) Terry.

Reg went to work in woods camps at the age of 16. He then worked as a automotive mechanic for Blaire’s Service Station, Canadian Creosoting Company, Truro Machine Works, Goodspeeds, as shop foreman, Euclid, Mussens and Atmus.

Reg lived in North River until 1961 when he married Florence Dwyer and then lived in Waugh’s River for a short time. They then moved to North River and had their two children. Then, in 1973, they moved to The Falls. Reg was a 38year member of Liberty Lodge 120 of the Independen­t Order of Odd Fellows, Tatamagouc­he, and was a Past Noble Grand.

He is survived by his son, Peter (Lisa) Terry; daughter, Jane; grandson, Jeremy (Samantha Tanner); great granddaugh­ter, Charlee and great grandson, Hunter; sisters, Betty (Gene) and Mary; brother, Loran (Jean). He was predecease­d by his wife, the former Florence Dwyer; brothers, Elmer, Herbert “Herbie,” Ira “Ike,” Ernest “Sandy,” Bernard “Bern,” David “Dave,” Lloyd and a sibling in infancy.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, with the funeral service starting at 3 p.m. in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouc­he. Burial will be at a later date in The Falls Cemetery.
