CAMPBELL, Joseph James “Joe” – 91, Truro Heights, passed away suddenly Jan. 17, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Peter Roy and Harriett (Wynn) Campbell.

Joe loved all the sports and was an avid participan­t. He served overseas during WWII, a member of the Royal Canadian Black Watch and Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Truro.

Upon returning home he worked, as had his father and grandfathe­r, with CN Rail and VIA and later with the Commission­aires.

He was well loved and will be missed by his family, friends and everyone he met.

He is survived by daughters, Jacqueline (Hubert) Roy, Debert, Janine Hooper, Truro Heights; granddaugh­ter, Olivia Hooper, Truro Heights; daughter, Lynn Roberts, Bridgewate­r; nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predecease­d by his wife, Diane Marie (Morrison); sister, Freda Theakston; grandson, Anthony Hamilton and son-in-law, Peter Roberts.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation or service by request. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
