Bearcat of the Week honours go to veteran forward Denver Lynds.

In Game 2 of the Maritime Junior Hockey League final, he was a force, picking up one goal and three assists and was named the game’s first star.

Throw in some hits, which ruffled the high-flying Timberwolves, and you have a great piece of leadership.

The game was as close to a must-win for the Bearcats, and Lynds delivered.

Lynds got his hockey start in the West Colchester Cobras program before switching to the Truro and Area Minor Hockey Association.

Midway through his first bantam season, he suited up with the Harrington Iceberg Prep program in Quebec. At the midget level he split his time between the Weeks Crushers and the Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks.

The 2012 Bearcat territorial pick reported for his rookie season in 2013-2014. His physical and determined play have been his trademarks.

He and Kyle Tibbo are the two holdovers from the 2013-2014 Kent Cup team, which went on to play in the Fred Page Cup in St. Jerome, Que.

Lynds finished this season with 17 goals and 22 assists and has been a threat in many ways in this playoff run.
