Taylor for the Tories
Businesswoman Rebecca Taylor has emerged as the choice for Colchester North Progressive Conservatives in the next provincial election.
Business owner and community volunteer Rebecca Taylor will be the Progressive Conservative candidate in Colchester North for the upcoming provincial election.
Taylor faced three other contenders at Valley Elementary School Saturday: Eric Boutilier, Tyler Fraser and Michele Toole.
Best known as founder of the award- winning Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company, Taylor has also worked in the public sector.
“Colchester North needs strong leadership to get us moving in the right direction so we can develop our local economy,” says Taylor. “Stephen McNeil’s Liberals have demonstrated time and time again that they are not up for the challenges that come with governing. It is time for a change.”
Taylor says she was drawn to the Progressive Conservative team by leader Jamie Baillie’s long- term action plan to grow the economy and create good jobs.
“Jamie Baillie has been recognized for his leadership and negotiation skills in not only the public sector, but in the business world as well,” says Taylor. “He has a vision and a plan for Nova Scotia. We need him in the Premier’s office now.”
Baillie said he will be counting on Taylor’s business skills and community connections when the Progressive Conservatives look toward forming government.
“Rebecca has been a success in business, but equally impressive is her commitment to the community,” said Baillie. “Colchester North needs new leadership and a fresh face. I’m excited Rebecca’s stepping up and joining our stellar team.”
Taylor lives in Lornevale with her husband Dan and their two daughters.
