‘Such transformative stories are occurring regularly and worldwide’

Here is a short excerpt from last summer from among Christ followers working with immigrants in Europe:

“In July the church we are a part of held an outdoor baptism service. It was incredible! We witnessed the baptism of 33 new brothers and sisters from Iran, Mongolia, and Afghanistan –almost all were previously of another religion. It was inspiring to hear their stories. Many of them have had dreams or visions with Jesus specifically speaking to them.”

The draw that these individuals have experienced moving from religion to relationship via dreams/visions are wonderful examples of a living God setting people free. Jesus is interested in people and wants a relationship with each of us.

We, who live in the Western culture and mindset often discount and discredit these sort of accounts. I repeatedly read of my neighbours (Canadians) claiming that Jesus is a fairy-tale.

Yet, such transformative stories are occurring regularly and worldwide.

It is told that in China, at least 10,000 Chinese are coming to faith in Jesus every day. For this to happen in a communist and relatively closed country is nothing short of miraculous.

A recent article found in the New York Times describes yet another move from religion to relationship. You can find this article by googling “The Jihadi Who Turned to Jesus”.
