Edward “Paul” Power

POWER, Edward “Paul” – 45, of Harmony, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2017 at his home, surrounded by family. Born in Oromocto, N.B.

He was the son of Edward and Bonnie (Hennigar) Power.

Paul worked several years as manager of the Shine Factory and for Chisholm Lawn Care and Plowing. He was one part of the center of his mom and dad’s life.

Paul was happy when he was out driving his Honda motorcycle on the windy roads of N.S. He had a love for older cars, working in his garage and bass fishing.

Paul loved his two beautiful girls, Sarah and Allyson, and also the love of his life for 28 years, Dena. Paul will not be forgotten by his best friend and older brother, Dale.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his spouse, Dena Borgstrom; daughters, Sarah (Vincent Weatherbee) Power, Allyson Power, both of Truro; brother, Dale, Truro. He was predecease­d by grandparen­ts, Margaret and Casey Power; grandmothe­r, Georgina Hennigar; several aunts and uncles.

We would like to thank Dr. Henderson and Lisa Weatherbee of the Palliative Care Unit and all the kind nurses of VON for all they have done for Paul and his family.

Cremation has taken place. A time of celebratio­n will be held at Paul’s home at 60 Blainedale Drive, Truro, on Monday, June 26 from noon until 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangemen­ts entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro where online condolence­s may be made at www.Colchester­Community.com.
