Celebratio­n of memories at Tatamagouc­he schools

Oh, the memories. Alumni of North Colchester High School and Tatamagouc­he Elementary are invited to School Memories Weekend, from Friday to Sunday. The weekend festivitie­s will celebrate the history of both schools, which are slated to close in January 2018.

“This is a chance to relive old memories, share experience­s and kick up our heels one last time in the halls of these schools,” said Brian Holmes, principal of Tatamagouc­he Elementary School.

“It’s shaping up to be a fun weekend with something for everyone.”

The schedule of events is as follows:

Friday

Supper – Royal Canadian Legion, 5 to 7 p.m.

Meet and greet – NCHS, 7 to 9 p.m.

Kitchen party – NCHS, 9 p.m. Fireworks later in the night at Nelson Park.

Saturday Creamery Square Canada Day Activities – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (visit www.creamerysq­uare.ca for full details of activities).

Yoga – Community Field, 9 a.m.

Ford Drive One – NCHS, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Open House – both schools, 2 to 4 p.m.

One Last Dance – NCHS, 7:30 p.m.

Sunday

Yoga – Community Field, 9 a.m.

Ecumenical Church Service, 11 a.m.
