Bearcats crushed by Moosehead Dry

The struggling Truro Bearcats saw their winless streak reach 11 games on Tuesday at TAAC Grounds.

The Bearcats surrendere­d five runs in the fifth inning and seven in the eighth and were hammered 16-4 by the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.

Truro’s next action is July 4 when it visits the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians. The Bearcats next home game is July 11 when they host the Kentville Wildcats.

On Tuesday, the Moosehead Dry pounded out 15 hits off John Chapman of the Truro Bearcats swings away during NSSBL action Tuesday against the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry. The Bearcats lost the game 16-4 and are 0-11 to start the season.

Winning pitcher Jason Mosher allowed just three hits in the game that was called after eight innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
