Barbecue

JULY 7 – Soctiabank Tatamagouche Branch; 11a.m. to 1p.m.; fundraiser for North Shore Curling Club with funds raised matched by Scotiabank.

SATURDAY, JULY 8 Chase the Ace

JULY 8 – Truro Legion & Scotia Pool, 2 to 4 p.m.; tickets sold at the Legion building; jackpot draw time 4:30 p.m.

Coffee House

JULY 8 –Nazarene Church Gospel Coffee House, 6:30 p.m.; Freedom Road, Sally Jennings & Eric Bowers; freewill offering; shared lunch to follow.

Buffet Supper

JULY 8 – Ham and salad buffet supper with strawberry shortcake, Riverside United Church, Bass River, 4:30 to 6 p.m.; adults: $10; children under 12: $5; all are welcome; sponsored: Fireside Unit UCW.

Supper

JULY 8 – Salad, Ham and Strawberry Supper, Knox United Church, Brookfield, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; adults $12; students under 12 $5; preschoolers free. Proceeds for Knox United Church.

Crib

JULY 8 – Crib every Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Good Neighbors Club, at 21 Palmer St.; high hand and 50/50.

Barbecue

JULY 8 – Charity barbecue, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Giant Tiger, for Truro and District Lions Club. Proceeds go back to the community.

SUNDAY, JULY 9 Ham Supper

JULY 9 – Ham and Salad Supper with Strawberry Shortcake, Milford Lantz United Church, 2134 Highway 2, Milford, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Adults $10; 6 to12 years$6; under-6 free.
