Robie Gerald Fisher – 68, Upper North River, left this life suddenly on September 9, 2017 with his true friend, and buddy

Kenda by his side.

Born in Selma,

Hants County on

May 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Alexander and Ida (Allison)

Fisher.

He is survived by his best friend and companion of 21 years, Lavenia Langille; children, Ronald, Sherry (Chris Clark); step children, Jeff (Margaret) Langille, Kenda (Joey Shipley); brother, Lorne (Brenda); sisters, Jean (Donald) Shaw, Vera Scullion, Ruth (Lou) Wambolt, Linda Fisher, Marlene (Pat) Flynn, Wanda Fisher (Steve Booth); former wife, Stella Clark; special grandchild­ren, Cameron and Robie, Soloman, Anna, Elizabeth, Cody, Jacob, Jamie, Brooklyn, Raielee; sisters in law, Penny Crowe (Cecil Hill), Joanne Graham (Darren Cameron); several nieces and nephews, K-9 companion, Pete.

Along with his parents, Robie was predecease­d by brother, Ken, brother in law, Wayne Crowe, great friend, Lloyd Crowe; children, Thomas and Gerald in infancy; granddaugh­ter, Hannah in infancy.

Robie worked in the woods at various locations, and also did work for Coopers Landscapin­g. Robie was a very special man who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was loved dearly and will truly be missed by all.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who spent many nights at “his” paradise camp on Nuttby Mountain. Also many good times spent at the cabin in East New Annan.

Cremation has taken place with a time of visitation being held on Friday, September 15 from 1-3 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Committal will follow in Tatamagouc­he Mountain Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Robie’s memory may be made to the Tatamagouc­he Mountain Cemetery.
