TATTRIE, Daniel Eugene “Danny” – 32, Montreal, formerly of Truro, passed away suddenly, with his loving family at his side, on Friday, February 2, 2018, in The Centre Hospitalier de l’université de Montréal, following an accidental fall on ice.

Danny was a light in a dark world and his infectious personality made everything light up with colour.

He grew up in Truro and enjoyed exploring different places from Halifax to Toronto to Montreal, where he ended up and never looked back. Skate boarding, spray painting and co-ordinating his outfits to match expressed his sense of style. He was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest but he never forgot his family and friends back home and always made sure to send Christmas and Birthday wishes.

Danny is survived by his mother, Lynn Tattrie, Truro; sisters, Melissa Tattrie (CJ Redden), Valley; Kimmy Tattrie (Kraig Bates), Truro; brother, Micheal Tattrie, Truro; maternal grandparents, John and Anne (Clarke) Henderson; paternal grandmother, Mary Boomer; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Billy Boomer; paternal grandfather, Walter “Buddy” Boomer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Danny’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018. Please wear bright colours to celebrate Danny’s colourful life. If so desired, donations in Danny’s memory to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colchester County are welcomed.
