The Central Nova Women’s Resource Centre is hosting a luncheon to mark

International Women’s Day on March 8

Women and men are encouraged to join in an informative, entertaining hour, beginning at noon, aimed at continuing the conversation on gender parity.

Speakers for the event will be El Jones, an activist, poet and educator; and Glenn Thompson, Acting School Climate and Relational Approach Consultant with the Chignecto-central Regional School Board and supporter of gender parity.

“With International Women’s Day events, we welcome men to be part of them,” said Amanda Langille, a board member with the CNWRC. “In order to move forward we need to work together so we felt it was important to create a space to have conversations around gender parity with both men and women.”

The event is being held at the Best Western Glengarry, and lunch will include tomato basil bisque with ham and Swiss half wrap on a bun, triple- layered chocolate mousse cake and tea or coffee.

Anyone with special dietary needs can contact the CNWRC at admin@cnwrc.ca

Tickets are $25 each, and can be purchased on Eventbrite at
