A seven-man team was selected following a rigorous tryout to compete as the 2017 Dal AC men’s A woodsmen team.

This team worked hard all year, practicing five-six days a week. Their routine consisted of strength conditioning and skill development in individual events. Although the sport is unique and isn’t a traditional sport you would find at most post-secondary institutions, these men showed their strength and athletic abilities as they competed in events like the pole climb, Swede saw, chopping, water boil, and more.

The team participated in four CILA competitions. The points gained at each competition are cumulative and a CILA champion for the season is announced at the final competition, hosted by Dal AC.

The A team worked hard all year and their training paid off as they finished first at the Rick Russell competition and captured the CILA title.
