NELSON, Tammy Leeann – 48, Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully, following a short but brave battle with breast cancer, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Jim and Carolyn (Pulsifer) Nelson.

Tammy worked at the “New To You” store at Colchester Community Workshops and volunteere­d at Colchester Food

Bank every Wednesday. She was a well-liked person who loved to socialize and interact with her customers and friends; some might say this affected her work!

She participat­ed in Special Olympics, loved to dance and enjoyed music, especially her favourite song, “A Picture Of Me Without You” by Lorrie Morgan.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her sister, Tracy Nelson,

Bible Hill; niece, Colleen; nephews, Ethan, Seth; many aunts, uncles and cousins; boyfriend, Doug Macintyre, Truro. She was predecease­d by her maternal grandparen­ts, Vernon and Barbara (Hanes) Pulsifer; paternal grandparen­ts, Walter and Anne (Munroe) Nelson. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Mattatall- Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a. m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Reception will follow. Interment at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.
