Arrests made

RCMP has released the names of two people who were arrested on the weekend following the death of a 46-year-old man, that police have ruled homicide.

A Millbrook man has been charged with murdering another First Nations man in the community early Easter Sunday.

Kevin Brian Sylliboy, 25, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 46-year-old Millbrook man, who has not been identified.

Grace Marie Scott, 35, of Truro, has also been charged in the case with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Both remain in custody and will appear in provincial court in Truro today.

The RCMP said members were called to a Willow Street residence in Millbrook just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was not breathing upon their arrival and he was transporte­d to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

RCMP members were still at the scene at 905 Willow St. on Monday morning where o cers were seen scanning the property with a metal detector.

Several unidentifi­ed locations have been searched as part of the ongoing investigat­ion, which is being led by the RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit with assistance from Millbrook RCMP, the RCMP Police Dog Service, RCMP Forensic Identifica­tion Services and Truro Police Service.

Anyone with informatio­n or anyone who has seen anything suspicious in relation to the case is asked to call Millbrook RCMP at 902-893-6819.
