Colourful and sparkling princesses will be coming to Truro next month for the Wayward Cats Society Royal Ball.

e event will be held at the Best Western Glengarry on July 14 from noon until 3 p.m., and tickets are now available.

“ is year we have Moana joining the other princesses,” said Sara Delaney, a volunteer with Wayward Cats. “She’ll be joining Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Belle, Merida, Tinkerbell, Anna and Elsa.

“ ere’s jewelry making, makeup, cake… Most of the girls come dressed like little princesses. It’s a lot of fun.”

Children will have the chance to join in a sing-a-long with the princesses, learn some dance moves, and practice curtseying and twirling.

Fairies, provided by e Body Shop, will be adding light colours and sparkles to the little princesses, and a stylist and helpers from ‘Make a Beauty Call’ will be styling their hair.

A chance to make jewelry and a fairy wand, take part in a scavenger hunt and try out archery are also part of the event.

Snacks, drinks and a cake will be provided, and photographer Lisa Matthews will be taking photos.

Because weather is so unpredictable, the decision was made to hold an indoor event this year.

To retain some of the outdoor feel, arti cial owers and greenery will be used to decorate, and any donations of these items are appreciated. Wayward Cats can be contacted at waywardcatssociety@gmail.com.

All princesses/princes must be accompanied by an adult during the event. Tickets can be purchased at Truro Vet Hospital, and are $35 for one princess and one adult.

All money raised will help feral cats in Colchester County.
