BAILEY “Margie” Mary Margaret (nee Barry)

Age 69, Truro. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Margie (Barry) Bailey on Thursday, November 15, 2018. She was born to the late Alexander and Mary Barry of Sydney Mines, Cape Breton. Margie graduated from the LNA Program at the Kentville Sanatorium in 1971 after which she nursed at the Colchester Regional Hospital for 38 years. She then continued caring for the elderly in their homes. Margie loved being with her family and friends, cooking and entertaini­ng. She was a kind, loving person who loved life to the fullest. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved to decorate and decorate she did! There was not a bare spot in sight. Margie loved music and sang beautifull­y. She was someone that you were blessed to know. She was a loyal and caring person and she will be missed dearly by anyone with whom she crossed paths. Every family has a rock and she was ours. Margie is survived by her husband, Edward; her pride and joy and the light of her life - her son, Alex; daughter-in-law, Angela, and her three granddaugh­ters, Madyson, Jaylynn and Kaysey, whom she loved and cherished more than anything in the world. She is also survived by her brothers, Alex, Jim (Pansy Warford), Billy and Joey; sisters, Catherine (Steve) Romard, Colleen (Paul) Sheffield and Edna (Glenn) Burton and sisters-in-law, Carol Barry and Cindy Barry; many nieces and nephews and her dearest and best friend Susan (Mike) Hennigar, who was by her side through every up and down in her life and would be at the door at the drop of a hat. Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by her son, Eddie, Truro; brothers, Jerry and Denny both of Sydney Mines; sisters-in-law, Colleen and Debbie also of Sydney Mines. As per Margie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 23rd at 2 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince St., Truro with Fr. Cristinel Fartadi officiatin­g. Reception to follow. Interment will take place in Truro Heights United Baptist Cemetery.
