Barra Macneils featured at First United Church concert

The Barra Macneils’ East Coast Christmas Tour has become one of the most beloved concerts on the seasonal circuit.

Their show features a highly entertaini­ng mix of traditiona­l seasonal fare along with entertaini­ng stories and new musical twists.

It’s stamped with their lush harmonies and intricate instrument­al stylings.

The tour will make a stop at First United Church in Truro, Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

They have toured nationally, as well as in the U.S., for years to sold-out houses.

Fans can look forward to classic favourites including: O Holy Night, Ave Maria, Christmas in Killarney and Auld Lang Syne. There’s also comedy, seasonal stories, music, dance and memories.

Their latest album, On The Bright Side, was released during the Summer of 2018.

It’s a collection of everything Barra Macneils, that fans love, an upbeat album ranging from familiar fiddle tunes to heart-wrenching Gaelic ballads.

This year anyone attending a Barra Macneil’s Christmas concert will have an opportunit­y to win a trip to Cape Breton Island through partnershi­p with the island’s tourism organizati­on, Destinatio­n Cape Breton.

Details will be provided at each live performanc­e.

Maritime Dates: All times are 7:30 p.m. with the exception of Glace Bay.
