Five people vying for two Bible Hill commissioner seats
It’s time for Village of Bible Hill residents to pick their commission.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, village elections across the province were deferred until recently. With restrictions eased, the village will now have an election on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Advance polling is set for Nov. 10 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. All voting will be done at the H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall, 69 Pictou Rd.
There are five people running for two available commission seats. The commissioners’ seats are for a three-year term.
Tom Burke:
Burke has been a resident and volunteer in the village for more than 40 years.

Justin Clark:
Clark volunteers as a coach with local sports clubs and his children’s school, he’s
an active member in a local hockey league and golf course; and enjoys exploring hiking trails, parks, and beaches.
He moved to Bible Hill four years ago and is a professional
accountant.

Lowe is an active firefighter and medical first responder with Bible Hill Fire Brigade and has leadership roles within brigade committees.
Lowe recently started Scotian Roots Contracting based out of Bible Hill, providing carpentry services for residents of the village and beyond.
He’s interested in providing more support for the village’s parks and recreation, increasing community involvement, contributing to future devel
opments and infrastructure and promoting the village’s offerings.

Carvel Mcnutt:
Mcnutt has lived in Bible Hill most of his life. He’s been a leader in Scouts Canada, involved in the Bible Hill Fire Brigade for more than 25 years holding several positions such as steward and firefighter/mfr.
He’s a member of St. David's United Church, a choir member and elder.

To vote, you have to be a Canadian citizen; at least 18 years old; have been a regular resident in Bible Hill for at least six months; and be registered on the list of electors to vote.
